IQAP presented their cold masterbatch for PVC profiles and coatings in AMI’s  8th International Conference on PVC Formulation that took place in Cologne from 5th to 7th April.
PVC markets worldwide have evolved significantly in the past 3 years. PVC 2016 event became the place to be in order to discover the latest technical developments and update your PVC professional contact network.
The talk given by Marta Ortíz from IQAP’s Technical Dpt concerned the environmental factors which play an essential role in transferring heat to the surface of coatings. Direct and diffuse sun radiation turn outdoor temperatures into the main source of heat having an impact on PVC coatings, causing them to expand and contract under thermal tension more than any other common type of coating.  Information was also given as to the latest progress made in masterbatch formulation (cold pigments, improved fluidity), aimed at preventing or solving the problem.
IQAP masterbatch rounded off its participation by providing an information point to respond to enquiries on cold masterbatch as well as other colouring possibilities for rigid or flexible PVC products and processes involved, like calendering, extrusion or injection moulding
