IQAP Masterbatch Group is a privately owned company with a history spanning over 30 years. From the beginning our main aim has been to deliver a high quality technical Masterbatch to the plastic-processing industry. IQAP Masterbatch Group is the leading South European Masterbatch producer today, with a turnover of more than 30 million Euro, selling to most European countries, Russia, the Middle East, China and North Africa. Exports represent about 50 % of our business.

More than 40 extruders enable our 3 factories to reach a yearly production capacity of 16.000 mt of masterbatches and compounds. Our wide range of production equipment allows us  to produce and deliver orders ranging from 25 kg to the larger quantities required by the major users.

Complementary to our production equipment is our modern and fully equipped Research and Development laboratory.  The activities of this laboratory include; quality assurance, analysis, development of new products including specific requirements of individual customers.

1979
• Creation of IQAP (Industrias Químicas Auxiliares del Plástico S.A.) located in   Manlleu (Barcelona)
          • Development, production and supply of  PVC masterbatches to the Cable              Industry

1987
Creation of Colorpoint S.A. in Manlleu (Barcelona)
          • Technology and knowledge to produce specialties
          • All polymers, processes and segments

2004
• Merger of IQAP and Colorpoint and creation of  the new company name  IQAP   Colorpoint S.A., located in Les Masies de Roda (Barcelona)

2005
• IQAP Colorpoint SA acquires a manufacturing facility in the Czech Republic and   creates IQAP Czech Sro. (Tabor)
• MCH Private Equity acquires a minority stake in IQAP Colorpoint S.A.

2007
• IQAP Colorpoint SA acquires Alcolor S.A. a masterbatch producer, and Paint Desarrollos S.L. a local distribution business, both located in Ibi (Alicante).

2008
• Merger of all the Spanish companies and creation of IQAP Masterbatch Group SL   (IMG)

2009
• IMG acquires ADES S.A., increasing market share in the segment of cable
