Since 2010 IQAP Masterbatch has worked in close partnership with the French company Atelier 3D on a common environment-friendly project: the development of a fully natural and biodegradable plastic range, based on corn and potato starch technology.
This partnership bore fruit in summer 2011, in the form of a collection of a 12-shaded earth and ochre colour range, which was first presented to the INPI.
These new natural bioplastics stem from earth goods: ochre, potato and corn starch, preventing them from having any environmental impact once they have been used.
With a view to representing and actually embodying this respectful approach to the environment, Atelier 3D Couleur and IQAP Masterbatch chose a golf tee range as its symbol. Once inserted in the golf course, it will self-degrade if unremoved, by action of rainwater and sunlight, and its non-polluting mineral compounds are harmless for the soil. The product will finally dissolve into the earth again. A real bioplastic which is bound to gradually integrate new product ranges with an environmental twist.
